ATRACTIVOS

Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and Blessed Laura Vicuña

Built about sixty years ago, with its neo-Gothic architecture implanted in this place as in other parts of the country, the Sanctuary responds to the image of a temple that the immigrant had. The current remodeling overcomes the imposition of a European architectural style. The renovated sanctuary manifests the unity between the various cultures that make up society in Junín de los Andes and throughout Argentine Patagonia, valuing the original ones that were underestimated for so long. This regionalization of the temple is nothing more than the desire to materially materialize the request of Jesus: “May they all be One.” Art, as the face of history, expresses the best creations of each of the cultures present in our land. Through the symbols, signs, images used, the sanctuary becomes a powerful instrument for the inculturation of the evangelical message
